Just finished these two items recently.
First up is the Woven Leaves logo. I'm not exactly sure how it's going to play out with the actual name nor do I know how it will work on our inevitable website but I like this and plan to run with it until it causes me pain. Look for an updated colorized logo in the coming weeks.
Next I've finished a somewhat preliminary business feasibility concept. The document details what I believe Woven Leaves' competitive advantages will be and details our target market a bit more. The full business feasibility plan should be done in the next month or so. I'll post that when it's complete as well.
Last but not least! This week we start ordering teas and refining our product development process. How do we offer customizations? What teas will we begin with? How will we package them? etc. Lots of questions and very few of them answered as of yet!
Feel free to leave comments if you have any advice or feedback!

Since my last post I've started a business plan and also come up with a name for the business.
First of all, business plans are hellish. :)
I'm very happy a good friend of mine (Trevor Rotzien) advised me to take on writing up a plan. It's forcing me to answer a lot of VERY important questions. My first customer for example... That will be me. I'm going to set aside some money just for buying tea supplies and flavorings and see what I enjoy and how I customize my product for my own consumption. The next phase of my plan is to package up this process so that I can bring it to work and provide it as a free service to see how others use it. I'm going to start buying tea to treat myself as a customer within the next week and hopefully after a couple weeks of that I'll begin to figure out a way to get the process moved into my day job so I can watch others enjoy the fruit of my labor. :)
As of this point, I've realized the business plan is going to take a while. Breaking up that goal into smaller goals has been made much easier through the use of the business plan software that was recommended to me. So as I finish components of that I'll begin posting them up here as well.
At the end of this weekend I hope to have a completed proof for our logo which will set the tone for the branding we'll be using here as well as on our website (once we start building that out).
We're still working on establishing a supply chain story but ultimately we may decide to begin buying retail just to get a presence established and to feel out how the business will work.
So that's that! As I start getting more action items completed I'll be posting them here.

Savor now.
You want to create teas that are unique to you and expressive. When prepared, the person you're giving it to should be soothed and pulled into the moment with your gift. These teas are there for people who know how to be present in the current moment, those who can enjoy life. Right now.

I made a goal for this year that I would start a new business. In support of that goal I've spent the past week or two just brainstorming business ideas. The ultimate winner?
I am starting a business for provide soothing custom tea blends best savored as gifts/something special to women in touch with their spiritual core. This blog is my record of how I'm getting from 0 to something within the month.
I took my first step today by setting up a Google Adwords account to assess the validity of my business idea. If I get some clicks then I can assume that I must've hit on something of *some* interest. Assuming that pans out, my next step will be to come up with a brand and get my first order.
This week's goal was to come up with a business idea I want to seriously pursue.
This month's goal is to get at least one sale.
Wish me luck! :)
